In our fast paced world, thankfulness is often left behind. We don’t take the time to appreciate the efforts of others, especially Father God/Jesus. He is constantly working in the background for our good. Even when things go wrong and pain comes, he
never leaves us.
Our loved ones, family and friends are there for us through the good and bad. They support us with words of encouragement and support. They lift us up through prayer. They are truly a great treasure in our lives.
We have so much to be thankful for. Besides our loved ones, we should be grateful for our homes, jobs and co-workers, and our country (to name a few). Besides all these, I’m also thankful for the time in which we live, even with the darkness or maybe despite it. Our modern conveniences: washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, stoves, heaters, A/C, and so many more make our lives easier. The ease of communication, telephones reduces the miles when family or friends are far away. It gives us the ability to stay connected.
During this holiday season, we urge you to stop and reflect on all your blessings this year. Then stop and thank God for them. When you are done, think about those around you and how they enrich your life. Let them know you love them and are grateful and thankful for each of them.
