Christmas is one of our favorite times of the year. We enjoy sharing Christmas love with strangers, family, or friends…anyone we see. A smile and holiday greeting brings a grin from most folks. It is part of celebrating the birth of Jesus and it brings warmth to our hearts.
Jesus brought Christmas love to everyone. He was the first Christmas gift…one from Father God to all people of the earth. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, he gave his only son. That whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
This historic event, the birth of the Son of God, Jesus, changed the world. He came, lived, died for us, rose again, and will return. His life changed the fabric of the lives of everyone he met. His love and generosity touched the hearts of men and women. Never condemning, Jesus helped others understand their worth…their value to Father God and his desire that none should perish, but
all be saved through the blood of his own son. Jesus is the face of Father God to our lost world and we are his servants…doing his will and reflecting Christmas love in his place.
Many suffer through the holidays. The loss of a loved one or the lack of family or friends can bring depression this time of the year. Lots of people in our world are sad, lonely, discouraged, hurt, or angry. They need the love of Jesus in their lives, something we have in abundance through Jesus our Lord. A call or note would bring great joy to and take very little time…and not just during the holidays. Please let the love of Jesus shine through you to all you come in contact with bringing light and love to this dark world in which we live. We encourage you to share his love, not just during the Christmas season, but throughout the year. As the hands and feet of Jesus, we may be the only Jesus many will ever see. Let his light so shine that others will see and give glory to Father God who is in heaven.
We hope you had a very Merry Christmas and we pray you have a Blessed New Year to all our readers,
Bob and Donna Benson
